Today is a very grumpy day! It's completely miserable weather all grey and threatening to rain any minute and today I'm feeling as bad as the weather. Last night my parents, 16 year old sister and her boyfriend and my mum's brother who's staying with them came over for dinner - and while it wasn't a very late night - they left around 9:30pm - it took alot out of me. We woke Elana up after they left and she happily drank about 150mls of her bottle and she was put back to bed - it took about 10...

"How your baby's growing: This month she may be eating less and socializing more" Well that explains it then. Why Elana would rather do anything then eat after she has the first 50mls of her 200ml bottle - lately we've been taking it 10-20mls at a time and it's been a struggle - it's not uncommon anymore for me to pour up to 80ml's down the sink - I've even tried reheating half way through (which is a pretty big no no some say) just because I think she doesnt like it cool - but she general...

I just finished reading another book I ordered online from the library because it was reviewed in the Australian Woman's Weekly magazine - this one was in the April issue (which reminds me that the May one will be out soon) along with the book I'd read previously "Sundowners" by Lesley Lokko This one "Gang of Four" by Liz Byrski was about 4 women in their 50's who have been friends for 20 years "... supporting each other through personal and professional crisises - parents dying, children ...

I think it's later now - the other day I was talking to someone and for reasons bemoaned in my last post about biscotti I can't say much which frustrates me no end - I can't even make up codes like James Bond - because because anyone who knows teegs knows who james is BUT she's talking about herself so she has every right to talk about that me i'm only talking about myself in how stuff effects me how I feel (besides frustrated) and if I said anything all the people who know james would also k...

Don't ya just Love life! Okay so tonight we have our obligatory family dinner thing - this week it's my family who are coming here for a belated birthday dinner for my mum. The May issue of "delicious" magazine is ALL Italian - so thats tonights theme - infact its all anti-pasto, he's making bruschetta, devil style chicken, fennel sausages with stewed capsicum a pasta fritata and a grilled vegetables recipe I found in "passione" But the very best bit is last night before we went to be...

OKay so today is ANZAC day and Nick decided that this was probably going to be his last chance to march in the parade since he wasn't going to be teaching the drums at BBC after this year and since he hasn't been along to a pipeband rehersal in I can't remember how long - what with having a baby and moving and staying up late on Saturday nights having people over etc he just hasn't been going to practices - I mean they are in Brunswick in the church next to the RNA Showgrounds its kinda a way...

You know the real problem with Cooking shows - ESPECIALLY oprah's cooking shows is they make you hungry. and the really bad thing about Oprah's cooking shows is they always give the audience a taste - whether it's the best macorono cheese or Marcia from Nashville's blueberry cobler - almost anything that's on Oprah is reproduced by some great Chicago restuarant for the WHOLE audience to sample. Which always leaves me at home watching it a year to six months after this thinking not only ...

Today's episode of Oprah is a repeat I saw it about 6 months ago when I was still pregnant (but don't get me started on that or I'll never stop) It's Whatchya Cookin Nashville? - Where she goes back to her old hometown and sees her dad - but I really LOVE when she just randomly goes up to a house and asks them what they're cooking for dinner - I love it! She just knocks on a door and is invited in because she's OPRAH The absolute QUEEN of day time talk tv right? I mean I know here in Oz...

I was reading some of teegs' blog and I caught one about RSJ - how when you don't hear a song/album for a while that you really liked it's like catching up with an old friend - I feel exactly the same way - and the weirdest thing was that as I was reading that I was listening to a local radio station and I heard once such song - Boys 2 Men and Mariah Carrey - One Sweet Day. What IS it about songs and movies from your childhood that bring about such powerful memories. I don't know about you...

The best thing in the world is when the whingy baby who doesn't want to go to sleep even though she's rubbing her eyes profusely, while rolling around on the mat trying to hide actually falls asleep. You think hey she's quieter then she was 2 minutes ago and your heart jumps into your mouth as you walk into the room only to see that little contented baby breathly softly and evenly with her eyes closed and her blanket in her hand tucked around her chin. And you breathe a sigh of relief then sm...

Well... so Hi! I couldn't find any other way of replying to Tegan's blog with my photo on it other then by creating my own so I thought hey what the heck I have the time!! My name's Trina, I'm 20 years old married to a wonderful guy named Nick and we have a GORGEOUS little baby girl Elana Grace - she's roughly 4 and half months old. We live in sunny QLD in good old Australia. So that's all the basics currently I'm watching my baby contemplating crawling - she lies on her tummy and...
