In the last month we've had like 4 public holidays. I mean April 9 was Good Friday, April 12 was Easter Monday - no work those days. Then we had a full work week - then Monday 26th April was the Anzac Day public holiday because it was Anzac day on the previous sunday (25th) and then yesterday was Labour Day - actually that was only in QLD where I am but still - that's alot of holidays. If I still lived in Ipswich then I'd get another public holiday next week for the Ipswich Show but since I'm...

I can't stand the word miscarriage, it somehow makes it sound like the woman wasn't carrying the child right and so it left. But worse then miscarriage is "lost the baby" - Lost? It's not lost, it died, it's gone. A person asked me this morning when a friend of mine "lost their baby" - they had a misccariage at 7weeks a days ago I was appauled. It's all over th...

The best thing in the world is when the whingy baby who doesn't want to go to sleep even though she's rubbing her eyes profusely, while rolling around on the mat trying to hide actually falls asleep. You think hey she's quieter then she was 2 minutes ago and your heart jumps into your mouth as you walk into the room only to see that little contented baby breathly softly and evenly with her eyes closed and her blanket in her hand tucked around her chin. And you breathe a sigh of relief then sm...

Elana's been sick all day watching dvds etc so I only just saw this. While I wasn't a fan there is no doubt that he is an Australian Icon Apparently he was stung by a stingray and died from heart failure on the way to the hospital. His family are believed to be in Tasmania but the news has had said there's been now word from Australia Zoo. How sad for Terri, Bindi and Bob and how even sadder that next year the first anniversary of his death will be Father's Day. He was 43. RIP Croc...
