Link It goes from 1956 until 1989 - if you fit in there find out your Popstrology sign. Mine is 1983 - Flashdance (what a feeling) by Irene Carr (psst Tegan that's yours too) My husband's is Everybreath you take by the Police My dad and mum both have Elvis Songs (1957 & 1959) and my sister is Michael Jacksons man in the mirror (1988) I looked up every birthday of all the people I could think of - it was really cool (all the people I could think of isn't just my immediate family...

For the last couple of weeks we've been having issues with our dvd player. At first I blamed the stereo which is crap beyound belief It's a 3 changer cd/tape/radio thing and all 3 disks are broken and the tape part doesn't work and the radio part is good most times but doesn't get all stations because of the aerial/antenna or something So it's pretty much used only to listen to dvds - mostly Hi5. Anyway we had issues with the volume going down to inaudiable and up to deafening without war...

There was a news break a few minutes ago just before Oprah started talking about Cate Blanchett's Oscar win. About Time!!! We'll get the telecast of the Oscars tonight at 8:30pm but for those who care - she won. It's not a vindication for the other times she was nominated and missed out - especially when she was beat out in 1999 by Gweneth Paltrow. I could never understand how Her performance of being a girl, pretending to be a boy pretending to be a girl - in a basically Romantic Comed...

Last night as I was going to sleep after I finished watching the West Wing, I got the theme song in my head and for some reason it reminded me of the Babar theme song. Which led me to think about Babar's name. Babar - he's the only one in his family with not a "real name" Queen Celeste, brother-in-law Arthur, Daughters Flora and Isabelle, Sons Pom and Alexander. Advisors Cornelius and Pompadour. Then there's Zephir and Rataxes, and Rataxes advisor Basil. Definition of Babar - [n]...

Sequels/sequals - neither looks right and I'm having a bad spelling day - hey I'm having a bad day but I might blog about that later now that I've remembered again Okay I've figured out what annoys me about parts 2-? in movies It seems obvious and I've probably figured it out before but they use the same jokes. Champas Socialist (a very interesting Australian blogger I read regularly) has a thread going called Abort the Gays in which one of his readers quoted a movie line from Waynes Worl...

Every heard of Boohbah? I think the people who made teletubbies make it - it has a teletubbies feel to it -- I was flicking channels during the ads of Mad about You Elana was lying on the matress drinking her bottle when I flicked the channel to these coloured kewpie dolls dancing and falling over and my daughter just bursts into giggles -- I find this insane even for the teletubbies but she stops drinking her bottle and sits up so she can laugh at these blobs falling over and getting back up...

In a weird twist the bottom three were Marty, Hayley and Dan (not Daniel) -- I really like Dan alot -- he sang really well in the auditions process, I loved his Josh Kelly - his Screaming jets wasn't terrible but I didn't like his Creed. It's sad to see him go and I think once again Australia has made a mistake (but they are keeping Chanel Courtney & Daniel -- for this week at least) oh well - i better call the doctor and see if my results are back... do I want to know?

And Anya is voiced by Meg Ryan - I like this movie - I liked her character - I'll give them this ) 2) Jane Porter (aw but I hated Tarzan and Minnie Driver) 3) Miriam (Moses sister played by Sandra Bullock in the Prince of Egypt) 4) Princess Kida (haven't seen Atlantis - but she's from that) 5) Megara - (Hercules - My FAVOURITE disney heoine after Belle ...

You know the real problem with Cooking shows - ESPECIALLY oprah's cooking shows is they make you hungry. and the really bad thing about Oprah's cooking shows is they always give the audience a taste - whether it's the best macorono cheese or Marcia from Nashville's blueberry cobler - almost anything that's on Oprah is reproduced by some great Chicago restuarant for the WHOLE audience to sample. Which always leaves me at home watching it a year to six months after this thinking not only ...

Today's episode of Oprah is a repeat I saw it about 6 months ago when I was still pregnant (but don't get me started on that or I'll never stop) It's Whatchya Cookin Nashville? - Where she goes back to her old hometown and sees her dad - but I really LOVE when she just randomly goes up to a house and asks them what they're cooking for dinner - I love it! She just knocks on a door and is invited in because she's OPRAH The absolute QUEEN of day time talk tv right? I mean I know here in Oz...
