When 2 out of 3 marriages ends in divorce, do you ever wonder who the 1 is and what makes them different?

I never have been really tolerent of small talk - I don't like it and since "growing up" - getting married, moving out of my parents house and having a baby I have an even lower tolerence for it. I just can't do How are you, how's the weather, what have ou been doing all day/week/month (month I might be able to do) I'm a stay at home mother -now alot of mothers do things - they go to mothers groups or play group or gymboree or visting friends some have part time work outside of the home or...

So yesterday afternoon Nick is sitting at work when he realised it was 5'oclock and not 4pm and said Oh I have to go - you want me to pick crap up on the way home don't you. And I who was already in a bad mood at that point got mad and said No, I wanted you to pick up cereal so our daughter could have breakfast. Yesterday was Valentines Day. The night before (Sunday) I ironed Nick's shirt and pants so I wouldn't have to rush in the morning. Nick let me sleep in a little, then he got the baby up and I started breakfast for the 3 of us while he made coffee. I put on a cd of our songs and he slow danced with me in the kitchen while waiting for the kettle to boil. Last night was an absolutly disgustingly hot night. I was sitting on the couch watching CSI - trying to figure out if I'd seen it already and Nick was watching Anime on his computer. He must have gotten up and gone away and I didn't notice because he called to me to "Close Your Eyes" I did so, reluctantly, because I'm an eternal pessimest and I was thinking the worst - mouse, cockeroach *shrugs* Then he turns CSI off - I'm even more confused but he takes my hand and pulls me off the couch...

I was in bed last night just about to go to sleep when my mind was still running a few hundred miles and hour so I just kept talking to a basically asleep Nick - I find that if I use up all my words and say everything that's in my head I can sleep better.
