Thursday night Nick made THE most amazing dinner - pancetta wrapped chicken with camembert and rosemary potatos --- SO SO SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
Nick went to Maclean at 9:30am Friday morning for a pipeband competition. That morning I made him breakfast - something I've never done - Fried egg, bacon, coffee & juice.
Rin came round about 10-11ish - we went to the Brisbane convention centre warehouse clearence sale thing. Didn't buy anything much - I bought Nick a music book of Brahmes for the piano and some other rubbish and Rin got a couple of cds - Lifehouse, U2 and Amity Dry - then we had maccas and came home.
The boys were with Andy and I had Elana. We watched videos which we'd picked up the night before incorrectly thinking that the video shop and the grocery store would be closed on Good Friday, and played games and talked - it was cool.
We watched the Prince & Me in the afternoon - I hadn't seen it but Rin had, after seeing it I can safely say I could have done without ever seeing it but I'm glad I did because at the time it was in the cinema I really wanted to see it. It ended in the wrong place or something - also it moved too fast in places and not fast enough in others. I can't place my finger on it - it just wasn't right.
Then we watched the whole 10 yards - another movie I hadn't seen but she had -- it was good - I can't decide if I liked it -- they're left it wide open for a third - the whole 11 yards?
We had shoestring fries, sour cream & sweet chilli sauce for dinner (Rin doesn't eat fish at the best of times let alone good friday) and we played Scene It.
Corinne is the worst scene it player in the history of the world. I had to MAKE up a question she was so bad - and even then she got it wrong.

Got up early Saturday morning when Nick called at 7am (8am his time) made breakfast for Elana (usual) Rin (croissants) and myself (bagels & cream cheese) and we watched part of Perfect Opposites - this is a movie neither of had seen or heard of that we picked up because it fit the 3night release category and vaguely suited our mood. It's got Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly/Rocky & Bullwinkle) and Martin Henderson (Echo Point/Bride & Prejudice) it's kind of incredibly bad but it's also quite funny in places - got ready picked up Caleb (micah wasn't well) and met Jess (P) at fasta pasta redbank.
I had my usual Maccheroni Peppino and a chocolate milkshake, Jess had the chicken parmagiana & a strawberry milkshake and Rin had fetticine carbonara and a carona.
After we wandered around Redbank for a bit - knowing we had to pick Micah up by 3pm so we left soon after 2 - clouds were rolling in big time huge storn about to hit redbank. Luckily we drove away from it it never hit us.
Picked up Micah and stopped in at Rin's house to pick up some things before going back to my house with the intention of us watching the end of the silly movie and the kids playing.
On the bridge at Indro (about 3 minutes from my house) Nick calls Rin's mobile to tell us they came 4th overall --- which is really fantastic and that he'd see me soon -- he was supposed to be getting home between 7 and 9pm that evening so I said okay I loved him - possibly drive safely etc and thought nothing of it. Nick wouldn't be home for dinner and Rin was going to leave about 4-5ish cause she had to go to her cousins for dinner so I was just going to have leftover fries -- but when we got back to my house Nick was waiting outside.
He was standing outside the house in his kilt (no sporan or the sock things) Elana cried, I welled up and jumped out of the car. I missed him alot.
They decided to come back early because they weren't needed for the mass bands and didn't even wait to find out if they'd won -- but he got a message from a fellow bandmate about the outcome -- hence 4th overall.
That night we had chilli for dinner - it was SO good we had it with rice and grilled tortillas and sour cream mmmmm and we watched the west wing.
Sunday I was sick - but we went to his parents house for lunch, sunday afternoon I slept from 4-6:30 and Nick fed Elana and got her ready for bed. And he made roast lamb potatos and leftover fries with pepper gravy.
Monday was my sister birthday - we went to Indro to Boost and woolworths, came home and had roast lamb & pepper gravy rolls for an early (10) lunch and he played WoW while I....did...stuff....(read, crosswords, played with Elana watched something on tv) then in the afternoon we went to Sizzler for an early (4:30) dinner with my mum, sister, dad and grandad. Elana. Elana was so cute - she sat in the highchair and ate cheesy toast of Nick's plate. And she had some of dads pork rib and she ate a pink wafer.
Nick, Mum and I just had the complete salad bar - Deb had malibu chicken, grandad the beer battered fish and dad the pork ribs.
Came back to our place so Elana could have dinner and go to bed and so we could have the cake -- exceot noone had cake because everyone had dessert at sizzlers.
Alex came over that evening and we watched who wants to be a millionaire.
Yesterday (tuesday) Rin the boys Elana and I went to Koorong - and I had this major craving for some kind od coconut curry --either Nick's really good Laksa or the Coconut Curry by Nando's which Nick makes into a risotto.
We had the risotto -- it was really spicy but really good.
And we watched the Notebook.
It was a really really nice weekend.
