Nick has outdone himself again.

This time he made me my own easter egg. He couldn't find a Cherry Ripe Egg this year (as opposed to the milk chocolate eggs with cherry ripes (or chocettes) So he made his own
He bought a Cabury cherry ripe chocettes and milk chocolate egg pack - cut the egg in half, melted down the chocoettes and spread the mixture around the egg put the two halves back together wrapped it up again and put it in the freezer.
My very own cherry ripe egg.

I love it!!! Last year I tried buying a whole lot of post-easter choccy and melting it in the microwave in the hope of getting thicker chocolate that I could shape into the shape of a block. Really really didn't work. Made the chocoalte taste bad and the shaping went reall bizarre. I just got a large deformed lump, like a lung cancer.

That's really gross - the description I mean. Did you burn the chocolate? it goes yucky if it's slightly burnt

The best thing to do with leftover easter eggs is melt them into milk in the saucepan on the stove - hot chocolate. For some reason easter eggs make the best ones.

Even better is after you've made your hot chocolate pour it into a mug over a solid easter egg - OH SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

with or without marshmallows
