Whew, Chrsitmas is over for another year and we survived. There were no fights, no illness and no injuries (backyard cricket games can be pretty brutal sometimes)

The night before Christmas Eve we had Alex and Peter over for dinner - Chicken Enchiladas!!!
Christmas Eve I spent cleaning the house, during the day I had unexpected guests. Nick came home early and then two other friends came for dinner - we had ham, pasta salad and fresh bread rolls and we watched the Carols by Candlelight on tv. They left around 11pm and Nick gave me a present.

The best present EVER!!!!!!!

Nick unwrapped an entire packet of Fantales and rewrapped them with two Chico babies per wrapper. See I LOVE reading the trivia on fantales but I'm not a huge fan of the caramel - usually I open, read and then re-wrap. I LOVE chico babies - I haven't had any for years. When I was in primary school my best friend Sheridan and I used to walk across the street to the shop across from our school every single morning before school to buy Chico babies.
He wrapped up two chico's per fantale wrapper -- I love him so much!!!!!!!!!

Christmas morning we woke up about 6:30am and got Elana who quickly found the presents from Santa. We decided to wait until after we'd eaten to open presents.
Santa brought Elana a HUGE box of Quatro which Elana wasn't much interested in, two Hi-5 dvds (it's a hi-5 christmas and hi-5 alive) which she liked the look of and another packet of letter magnets so she can spell things - She was VERY impressed at having not 1 but two W's and two M's
Mummy and Daddy gave her some clothes. A t-shirt and jeans set, a pink polka dot dress and some pjama's.

I gave Nick a tripod for his camera and a cordless keyboard and mouse for his computer.
Elana gave Daddy a gold set of Magnetix - so now he has two sets the gold and the silver,

Nick gave me a black satin teddy and the fantale wrapped chicos, a gold bangle, (one that she can wear all the time and not worry about Elana breaking it like she did her necklace) a pack of fire & ice perfume and body spray, the Australian Legends disk cd set AND the game Scene It? (hooray movie trivia!!!!)

We had croissants for breakfast and we played Scene it? - and I won.

My parents, sister and grandad came for brunch at 10:30 - which was actually lunch at 12 when we had cold turkey, potato salad, pasta salad and green salad.

Debbie made Elana a quilt and a rocking horse, mum and dad gave her this musical keyboard thing and some clothes.
We got a second white dinner set, Nick got an Eran James cd, and I got dirty dancing on dvd.

That afternoon we went to Nick's parents house for dinner and cadoo. I got a serving platter, uno and a puzzle magazine. Nick got a printer, jamie cullum cd, some bbq stuff even though we haven't got our bbq yet, and the Games dvd
Elana got two sets of little people - circus and zoo, as well as a gorgeous blue dress to wear on boxing day
We had roast turkey and roast pork with vegetables for dinner and we went home at 9pm thinking it was closer to midnight.

Boxing day we watched a bit of the cricket before going to Nick's parents house for the big extended to-do. We watched the cricket until lunch was served about 1, had dessert about 3 opened presents around 4 and left around 5. In between lunch and dessert was backyard cricket as well as watching the boxing day test.
Nick's grandmother gives all her grandchildren pjamas every year. This year Elana and I were included. Nick got blue satin boxers, I got some pink polyester/cotton shorts and Elana got a light blue shirt/shorts set that had pink hearts and a sleeping teddy bear on a cloud with the words made in heaven on them.
Elana also got some clothes, two golden books, a little teddy bear and this HUGE cuddly teddy bear that was the same size as elana and is the softest thing you've ever felt.

We went home about 5 and made Elana's dinner and put her to bed and had sandwiches for dinner ourselves and watched Crackerjack (mick molloy film about bowls)

Today we continued to watch the test - Day 2. Right now Australia is 5/203 (Pakistan was all out for 341) and James came over to play computer games with Nick. A bit later in the afternoon Alex joined them and later still Peter came over - All four are downstairs playing I don't know what - Diablo 2? Warcraft 3? something else entirely *shrugs* care.
Just before we had pizza and played Scene It? Then they went back downstairs and I started this blog and watched Coupling.

And now I'm done.
