I went shopping with my best friend today which was great and we went to K-mart and Target and all over Indooroopilly ran into my in-laws and had a Boost and a kebab.
I went with the sole purpose of trying to find an outfit for Christmas Day (boxing day actually) with the family and a pair of overalls for Elana to wear to her birthday party at the park.
And do you think I could find anything? NO!
I found some beautiful dresses and pants/top sets in Target, and a gorgeous overall dress at Kmart which I almost bought -- the closest thing to overalls was a pair of denim overalls at pumpkin patch but I could justify the money especially since it didn't come with a top and I could decide between a size 0 and a size 1. So Elana missed out.
There was this faboulous dress I fell in love with at Target that we found in a size 10 for Rin (and she looks Gorgeous - she'll be looking wonderful and fresh on Christmas day with her family) and I put the coathanger of a size 8 over my head and the place where the bust should be was actualy 10cm UNDER my own bust. So that sucked.
A womans size 10 at Target is a Hot Options (teenage) size 12 (so their 8 would be a HO 10) But Rin looks Great!!
So we went to the hot options section and found naught (nothing that would suit a mummy going to a family lunch on christmas)
I found nothing in Kmart, best & less or ICE but I found some nice skirts (no dresses) in Valley girl but I couldn't find a size 6 among them to save my life *sigh*
and wearhouse for fashion also had some nice skirts and a really nice top but again No sixes.
Things were so much easier when I was a 10.
