The boys came round last night and Nick made lasagne - it was a Jamie Oliver recipe from his new book Jamie's Dinners (there's some REALLY!!!!! good stuff in it)

He minced up some chuck steak and some pork, it had pancetta, cinnamon, carrots, thyme and rosemary, tomatoes, red wine - he simmered it for an hour and a half and in the last 45minutes he roasted some butternut pumpkin rubbed with olive oil, corianda seeds and chilli flakes. The white sauce was made from pouring cream and parmesan cheese. And he used fresh pasta.
He layed the meat sauce and a bit of the cream sauce and small amount of pumpkin then pasta and then just a layer of pumpkin then another layer of pasta followed bt more meat sauce and then more pasta and covered it in the white sauce and more cheese.
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was THE best lasagne EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We played X-men on the xbox and Al left about 9 but Pete stayed around and When Harry met Sally was on - I LOVE!!!! that movie - it's way way up there on my favourites list,

Friday I went to Ipswich with Elana and Mum, I had an optometrists appointment, we saw my Aunt who works at Aimees Jewellers, went up and saw all the people my mum works with - showed off Elana etc had lunch with Vicki who's like my second mother or twin or something - we have the same birthday, and all this other stuff like we both dated BBC boys and oh I can't remember everything but anyway later we met my sister who had an exam, then we (mum, deb, elana and I) went back to Indro
Did some shopping met up with Nick and came home, Nick had his soccer session and then he was going to James speech night so I made his hamburgers and he left just before 7. My dad arrived just before I put Elana to bed so he got to see her which was nice.
We ended up watching about 10 episodes of Kath & kim as well as Home & Away - and we had these really nice hamburgers - the patty was so thick.

My new glasses are coming in the post - I should get them Friday or Monday which is nice - My optometrist fixed my nose protecter - he put a new one on and straightened my frames for me so they're not as sad as they were -- but I'm still getting new frames. One black/grey pair and one red/copper/brown -- they're nice. Oh and my black pair will be tinted so that will be good.

Elana's a bit grumpy today - she refused her nap, I think her teeth are hurting her and Nick's working today (sunday) so I'm here alone. Waiting for 2:30pm when the telecast of the cricket starts, until then I'm keeping up with baggygreen.com.au - live scores
Currect score 42/4 (Warne just bowled out Syris) - McGrath's got 3 wickets this morning - It would be a great game to watch, unfortunately they don't telecast the whole game in the state that it's being played - The 5day test is at the gabba and we only get the game from 2:30 til 5pm every day *sigh* - next test won't be at the gabba so we'll get 10am - 5pm like everyone else.

Tonight we're going to Kim & Val's for dinner - Grandma's still down and James left for schoolies yesterday - should be good

*no new glasses - I actually have to go back to Ipswich and get retested because they LOST my details and so I need to be retested before I can get new lenses *sigh* - I have no idea when I'm going to get to Ipswich oh well. I can't even ask for a refund because I'd have to to Ipswich to get it!
