A LONG and eventful evening

On the same night of the 2nd last Friends ever, a brand new Simpsons episode and the Series Final of Sex & the City, Elana Grace cut her first tooth.

She wasn't really anymore grumpy then usual, she actually ate all of her dinner (which was cause for celebration since last week she decided she didn't need to eat dinner - at all - very stressful) and because she opted not to nap yesterday afternoon she was exhausted by 6pm and I put her in bed at 6:20pm - 10minutes before her daddy came home - She was asleep before I even left the room.
So I'm settling in to enjoy the very last Sex and The City ever!!! when about 10pm I hear Elana crying - I leave her for a bit thinking she's probably still asleep but 10minutes later she cries out again. I go in and she's sitting up bright as brass and yelling for one or both of us to come and get her.
I called Nick so he could give her a cuddle but she wouldn't settle.
We sang Itsy bitsy spider I'm a little teapot twinkle twinkle little star and the lullaby from hi-5 until we were hoarse and she just wouldn't settle. So we changed her nappy (which was dry) and eventually Nick clicked and put his finger in her mouth and felt that a tooth was pushing its way through.
So he asked me to get some baby panadol - which I said she wouldn't take and he gave it to her kicking and screaming when she promptly threw up the whole lot and more - covered Nick, herself and her unicorn -- yuck Poor baby she hates panadol
So eventually we just decided to let her lay down/sit up/play between us in our bed and maybe we could rest - it's about 11:30
She's lying there playing with her blanket and our fingers when she rolls over and sits up all of a sudden and I feel she's wet. Her nappy leaked while she was peeing. So we changed her clothes again and this time I put her back into her bed and left. She cried for a bit but fell asleep soon after.
11:46pm -- Nick turns off the light and he starts to snore soon after/
12:10am -- Nick is snoring, no sound coming out of Elana's room and I (who have been absolutely exhauseted all day wishing to go to bed at 6pm when Elana did) can't sleep!!!
I think I feel asleep about 12:30/1am and Nick woke me just before 6:30am - where Elana was awake and singing to herself in her cot Happy as Larry!!!

I'm So tired - going to have a nap at 9am

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to it

Well 3 nights in 11 months isn't so bad - the last time this happened was when all her teeth were moving in her gums - she threw the panadol up that night too. We can't even trick her by putting it in a bottle because somehow she knows and refuses the bottle. SO instead of "knocking her out" we just have to wait it out - when her mouth doesn't hurt anymore she'll sleep and then we can sleep
*sigh*
By the way it's 10:25am and I didn't have a nap - I researched the Tattoo instead (Edinburgh in Sydney - Nick wants to go) and now I'm eating eggs
