Well that's not exactly true I've written a few invisible articles but I haven't felt anything to say publicly. Plus I suck at coming up with titles for blogs.

So I had a pretty ordinary week post funerals - did all the usual stuff. Nick and the boys have been going out every couple of days and playing soccar, kicking a football, running around the oval - they're trying to get fit they're all worried about having heart attacks before they're 30 because they're all ITish type guys (engineers, consultants, people who just sit on their comp and do stuff all day/night) So they go out every Friday most Mondays most Wednesdays (at least nick and al do) and some Saturdays or Sundays -- depends when the last "session" was.
Then they go home or come back to our place. One night they had pizza and beers.
Last Friday they had curry and beers followed by work on their project.

Friday Jess, Rin and Megan visited which was nice. Then I met my mum and went shopping for the afternoon -she stayed until Dad picked her up and the boys were there - I watched Ever After on tv which I LOVE
Sunday we went to Nick's parents place - it's become a regular sunday thing - either lunch or dinner. Kim got back from Boston that morning - well not from Boston from Boston/LA somewhere ...Sydney - Brisbane 27hour flight (or 23?? I can never remember) He bought Elana back two bodysuits from one of the shops in Boston - it was on Sale - summer items being fall there - they're beatrix potter pink with peter rabbit on them - very cute.
And she got Amazing bars - chocolate block with peanut butter m&m's. Last year when he went to.... Philedelphia (?) ..He brought Nick & I back this HUGE 1kg bag of peanut butter m&m's - they were halloween ones so they were only orange and brown - which I don't mind - brown m&m's are my absolute favourite.

During the weeks I'd read the Fried green tomatoes book - amazingly different to the movie. I watched Big Fish which I'd never seen. And I re-read the last 3 books in the ancient future series plus yesterday I re-read my marian keyes book (the other side of the story)

Elana is still pulling herself up on everything. She's been letting go standing on her own for like 3-5seconds and falling down. She took a step and fell a few days ago. Anytime you hold her hands to walk she runs. Her new trick is running along the couch cruising - she's really quite fast.

No teeth yet but she's chewing EVERYTHING - especially on the left side of her mouth right at the back

Nick gave her some pikelet yesterday - broke off pieces for her - she loved it. She loves anything Nick does, beams when he walks in the room and follows him everywhere. Even going so far as to sit outside the bathroom door waiting for him. She cried the other day when he came home from work played with her changed and went out with the boys.
This morning he said right I suppose I better go to work and she sat down dropped what she was doing and crawled after him up the hall - I'm coming too.

Her birthday is 6weeks away - she'll be one. Christmas is 8weeks away. I can't believe this. This time last year I was practically begging Elana to come out - I was ...33weeks? I think - I remember I was still looking for work (pointlessly but Centrelink required that I actively look for work until I was 34weeks)

I'm completely avoiding cleaning out my closet. I did Elana's this morning in the hopes it would motivate me - it hasn't. I really should go through and bag my clothes but I can't - I LIKE the clothes regardless of the fact that they haven't fitted me since a couple of months after giving birth I've lost 2 sizes in 8months (blogged extensiely about previously) but I can't bring myself to get rid of the clothes that don't fit. Nor only do I LIKE them - If I did throw out ALL the clothes that didn't fit I would be left with 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of 3/4 pants, 1 denim skirt, 3 pairs of black pants and 3 singlet tops, 3 sleeveless tops and 3 jackets.

I'd be throwing out 5 pairs of jeans (1 BRAND new - I lost weight since buying them) sized 12-8 2 pairs of cargos 2 pairs of 3/4 pants, 1 suit pants & jacket, 2 pairs of boardies, 6 skirts, 3 dresses, 1 pair of overalls, 2 pairs of trackpants, 3 jackets and I don't know how may tops.
*sigh*
Then Theres Nick's side - So you can see why I don't want to do it

I watched Oprah yesterday and couldn't contain my sadness I just cried and cried and cried - she went to South Africa for her Christmas Kindness thing - she gave 50,000 children toys & clothes and school supplies and hugs, she met children with HIV and Aids, orphans from Aids - Oh my gosh it was - wow

Elana will eat pikelet from Nick but not me.

10months and 21days

Chanel left Idol on Monday - Final 4 are Courtney, Casey, Hayley and Anthony -- hmm all end in Y (marty left last week) I think Anthony will win but I'm unsure as to the order of the other 3 - possibly Anthony Casey Courtney Hayley -- Next week is Big Band - Courtneys specialty - we'll see

I'm so bored - I've read and re-read all the books on my shelf and I really can't be bothered with the closet - anyway that's enough rambling might go eat some pizza

Hey, I have a question...how old is your daughter...she sounds extremely close to my daughters age...so it's just a curiousity of mine...
on Oct 28, 2004
she's 10months and 23days and yours?
on Oct 28, 2004
my daughter is 10 months and 20 days.

wow so she was born on the 8th of December? Mine was born on the 6th

She was born on the ninth. Still really close though. My baby is standing on her own, but enjoys being carried, so though she has taken a few steps, she refuses to elaborate on that. She likes the attention of being carried. hee hee

technically I didn't go anywhere - I still lurked around the place read everyones blogs commented rarely and wrote really boring stuff but stuff I didn't want certain people to read so I hid. But it's nice to have been missed

Well just before I was playing merry-go-round/rollercoaster (I lay down on the floor and bounce her on my tummy either up and down or up down and around) and after about 10games I got kinda tired so I put her down and she cried so I distracted her with blocks *note to Lego - Thankyou for inventing Quatro - it's bigger then Duplo and Elana LOVES it.
About 3minutes later I'm still lying passed out on the floor beside her and she crawls upt to me puts one hand on my leg and stands up and lets go. And just stands there holding on to Nothing!! for about 30seconds and then she didn't fall which surprised me she just chose to sit down it was amazing. I've seen her pull herself up to the couch and let go and I've seen her pull herself up to the tv and let go and then grab on and let go but she just used my leg - one hand and stood there perfect balance

*sigh*
