I don't think I intend to have a running commentary on idol every week - but this week i have alot to say
the show opened with Emilia - regular readers will know she's my least favourite - she sang Anyone who had a heart -- I love this song -- I love this song when it it sung by those soprano 60's singers with hig voices -- Emelia doesn't have a high voice - it's very low - and this song was bad imo - the judges disagreed with me - but i think they want Emelia to be the next Cosima - so they're praising her no end.
Next up was Ricky-Lee - I find myself not wanting to like her - I don't know why but I couldn't fault her perfomance of Proud Mary (complete with tina turner hair (my only fault - yuck she looked like a poodle) ) -- it was SOOO good - there's NOWAY she's going home anytime soon.
melbournes Anthony was next with Gimme Some Lovin - most famous to be from the Blues Brothers -- it was GOOD!!!!!!! - he's not going home either.
16yo Amali was next - her Say a little prayer wasn't great - she'll need a lot of prayer to stay in the competition this week.
Everyone knows that next to Courtney Daniel Belle is my favourite and tonight was no exception - He ain't heavy he's my brother -- AMAZING -- i don't think he'll be going anytime soon either.
Marty was next - Satisfaction -- I liked it -- the judges didn't - what will Australia say?
Hayley -- her To sir with love was sung well - but it was boring she dressed well though
Courtney - I LOVE the song Spinning Wheel -- it was PERFECT for Courtney - there were no faults - he delivered it well, engaged the audience, and the judges and the only bad thing was the topic of his weight. He's not that big (and they didn't talk about Casey's weight and she's just as big and younger) Anyway - another FANTASTIC performance from Courtneey -- he's definitely not going home
Chanel - I love chanel -- I really love chanel -- she sang Walk on By -- the judges weren't keen -- she's looked gorgeous -- she sang well but she was a bit boring too. nothing like shirly bassey last week
Finally the night ended with 16yo Casey's Somebody to Love (Jefferson Airplane) - its hard to believe both casey and amali are 16 - they're in different worlds casey has an amazing talent - the judges didn't think she gave enough -- i think they're wrong
My picks for bottom four tonight -- Emelia, Amali, Hayley, Marty and Chanel
I think Amali will go or possibly Hayley - she was in the bottom 2 last week -- it will be interesting - - I'm praying Australia gives Chanel another chance - she's amazing!!!!
