I just rang my medical centre to get an appointment for tomorrow with my doctor and since moving I haven't had to go but we've taken Elana. So Elana's address records have changed but mine have not (and Nick's wouldn't have either) So when the receptionist (Ben) asked me if it was Stanley Terrace I froze - I knew it was wrong but I couldn't remember the right address. I said my house number but was unsure if I even said the right one - He said they'd put a tracer out there for me -both numbers were similar one being 43 the other 48 and then I had a complete mental blank about the name of my street.
And I told the receptionist -- Eventually it came to me as did my phone number and he told me I'd have to get it tatooed onto my arm so I wouldn't forget.
He must think I'm a kook.

or worse

Awe! That's never fun! I do that all the time though, so don't feel bad. I had to have my blood work done for the paperwork for my wedding yesterday, and the nurse called my name like 3 times and I had forgotten my own name.

Wait until it changes - if you take your partners name like I did -- I was really confused -- or after you have a baby and the doctor calls HER name -- gosh that was funny too.

I used to be known for my memory - people would ask me "How do you remember that" about some date or event that wasn't really significant like we went out for coffee and you had a cappucino and you had a short black and he had cake"

These days I'm lucky to remember to put a teet in the bottle for Elana when we go shopping -- Oh wait I forgot that too last week.

I sound old don't I - I'm only 21.

Congratulations on your impending nuptials!!!

Trina~ I forget that kind of stuff all the time. Like when I have to give people my cell phone #. I have never called myself so I often forget the number...

I was going to tell you what you can do about that, but I....err.....forgot what I was gonna say

I had the exact same fricken thing happen to me! I was on the phone and someoen asked me my phone number and I drew a blank. All i could say was, "I don't call myself too often,:" and try to laugh it off.

what a dork.

*laughs* I am planning on taking my partners name, and I was just thinking about that the other day. It'll be so weird. I mean, I've been Ms. Frost for how long and in March I'm going to be Mrs. Bayton... weird. I'll probably forget my name and make myself look like a dumb ass. What's new though?

Congratulations on your impending nuptials!!!

Thanks!
