Elana know's best!

I think it's safe to say that at 9months my daughter already has a strong personality - she's very dominent - Bossy even.

In the past couple of weeks she's been dictating her own pattern -- Bottle at 11am - sure okay but I'm going to drink it on and off until 1:30 -- and I probably won't finish it

This is because I'm mobile - I can roll over to both sides, I can crawl, I can creep, I can sit up and bop on my bottom and I can stand on my hands and feet - with all this movement I can do - do you really think I'm going to a) lay down by myself and drink my bottle quietly or lay in your arms so you can feed me HAH

Nap? You think I'm going to Nap from 1pm to 2pm - HAH - if you're lucky I may go down about 1:30-2pm -- and fall asleep for maybe 20minutes -- but if you put me down earlier I will just sit in my crib and play and yell and sing until I fall asleep.

Today she was indicating sleepiness at 12:30 - so I put her down and she went to sleep after about half an hour or more (shrugs)
She woke up but I left her in her crib hoping she'd go back to sleep - she didn't after about 10minutes she started singing, then yelling - yelling at the top of her lungs DADADADADADADADADADA and when I came in she switched to MAMAMAMAMAMUMUMAMA -- a little quieter but still loudly

So we got up and she's sitting on her mat playing with her toys and mumbling adad-da

Yesterday morning Elana sat beside the back door for half an hour (its a glass sliding door that opens onto our balcony) and watched all the cars go down the road -- There's a private road beside our house and theres some road and yard work going on somewhere down there. Everyday trucks go back and forth - Cement trucks, back hoes, bob cats, front end loaders.
I've decided Elana would probably be a fan of Bob The Builder.

She LOVES to hide under stuff - she'll crawl under the chairs to get under the table to look out the window -- she'll even take toys with her so she can play. She loves Shoes -- especially ones with laces -- did had to do his shoes up 3 times this morning before he left for work because Elana pulled the laces undone.

She started clapping yesterday - she had been trying for ages occassionally getting her hands to touch - she has this problem of closed fists - she likes action games and songs but can't quite grasp how they work and when you try to hold her hands to clap she clenches her fists. (and tried to stand because she thinks you're holding her hands so she can stand)

And she does this really cute thing that nick and I have no idea what it means - she holds her hands out in front of her palms up like she's holding something or trying to give you something.

But hands down my favourite cute thing is still the smiling head tilt

NO - two minutes ago she looked right at me and said MAMUMUMAMUM while smiling & trying to pull my glasses off my face

(and she's yelling mumumum daddadad MUMA DADADAD eeeehhh uuuhhh DADA )

Aw I love her so
