The mush they ate on the Nebuchadnezzar in "the Matrix" was actually in fact Farex rice cereal - it had to be - gee no wonder Elana hates it - I'm convinced - she's okay with the texture cause just to test i made it the same consistency as her milk using her milk and she still hated it. I have a friend who didn't use rice cereal but mushed up milk arrowroot biscuits with water -- what's the general concesus on this.???????????

Anotther suggestion I've been given was to put a tiny bit of apple sauce in with the farex to see if that improves the taste.

AND I've come to the conclusion that my mother-in-law is a crazy loon. She used too make up too much of the cereal because she knew her kids wouldn't finish it and she could!!!!!

Our baby doesn't like cereal either.  He does however like to eat real rice.

My wife makes watery rice in the rice cooker.  (Japanese call it okayu)  Instead of one cup of water per one cup of rice, you mix 6 cups of water for every cup of rice. (Don't forget to wash the rice before cooking it!)

Once your okayu is cooked, add another two or three cups of water, then puree it in the blender.

Once you have the gooey concoction all mixed up, spoon it into an ice cube tray and freeze it for portable portions.

Babies love it!

I used to put a spoonful of babyfood in with my kids' cereal...bananas or pears were especially popular.  Not much, but just enough to make it a bit more palatable.

Do they have Farley's Rusks in Australia?  They have them in the UK.....
