Today was my first mothers day as a receiver instead of a giver. I got to sleep in first of all - which was really great - why is it when you're allowed to sleep in your body just wakes you at the time you would have gotten up if you were woken?? This morning I did sleep in - 7:40am instead of the usual 6am but I could have had until 9am!!! - Oh well
I picked up the baby and gave her a cuddle and Nick made me sit on the couch and he took her off me and put her down on the couch beside me and handed me a capuccino and my presents.
I got Season one of RED DWARF - very very cool.
And a white bathrobe - it's not terry cloth it's almost like microfibre - it's sooooo soft - and big and white - I put it on over my jeans - I tell you I felt like a real mum - like a TV mum.

Then we did a quick tidy up of the house because Nick's family was coming at 10:30 for brunch. His mum and dad and brother and younger sister and Grandma all came and we had bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, toast, pancakes with lemon, sugar, jam and cream and danish!!!! and coffee - it was sooooo good - they left at 1pm - I tidied up and then I sat down to write this.

This afternoon MY family is coming for afternoon tea - they're due around 4pm. I'm not even sure who's coming. My mum was going with her brother to visit their mums grave this morning and dad and I think my sister were coming here separately but i wouldnt actually have a clue.

ANyway it's been a really nice day so far.

i just wanted to wish you all HAPPY MOTHER's DAY wherever you are.
