Walk like an Egyptian

Talk about blast from the past and bringing back childhood memories - I was like the biggest Bangles fan - walk like an Egyptian was my favourite.

I used to sing Manic Monday every Monday at school - just to myself you know not like on assembly or anything - and if it wasn't Manic Monday then it was Monday Monday (mama's and the papa's) or I don't like Monday's (Boomtown Rats)

which isn't eactly true - Mondays were usually pretty good - I actually like school so I really ahd no cause for complaint - I just like songs about days of the week.

Anyway I was sitting here reading some other peoples blogs Jamie Burnside infact and listening to 97.3fm and my favourite Jewel song came one - I don't like Jewel much anymore but You were meant for me is still my favourite Jewel song by far and I hadn't heard it in ages so it was cool to hear it and then the woman dj said some stuff - I wasn't paying attention but then I heard the unmistakable first strains of "walk like an Egyptian" - let me tell you i was excited!!!

Luckily I'm home alone because I would ahve been too embarrassed to Walk like an Egyptian with people in the house!! But with noone here but myself and my 41/2 month old daughter who cares right - Man that was fun.

Reminds me of grade 9 variety concert when Tanya and I auditioned with our version of Eternal Flame. Arh memories.

Anyway - Go the Bangles and my favourite music in general.

Third song I learned to play on acoustic guitar and sing simultaneously...my favourite too.

Yeah, I noticed that you were reading my blogs. Thanks. You reminded me of a bunch of "oldies but goodies."

You know when Suzanna Hoffs started her solo career, it didn't really go anywhere. I was pretty surprised about that. She was definitely the main face of the Bangles.

Have a nice day TrinaP
