grade 8 -- VERY lame

*don't read too much into the following - some of the lines mean stuff but none of the subject matter is related to me or anything I was feeling - basically I thought all poems had to rhyme and so mine all do (until late 1998) so while I may have been feeling one line - I built up a rhyming story around it. I'll tell you when it actually means something (I'll italic it)
In grade 8 I was having a lot of "fights" with my friends -- as all grade 8/9 girls tend to do - friends one day enemies the next and so as a release I wrote poems in my lunchtime.

Life

Life is a reflection of nothing, always going slow
People saying stop when maybe they should go
Never ever expressing how they really feel
Never really talking always silent at every meal
But since this life has ended in a very horrific way
Nobody could ever think of what was right to say

Arguements

Maybe we should apologise
for what was said

Maybe we should say goodbye,
before we lay him in his bed
Maybe we should have told him,
Because maybe he didn't know
That he didn't have to kill himself,
because we had to go.

In maths one day a friend read some of my poems and asked me to write one for him because the girl he liked dumped him (or something like that...) this was the poem I wrote for him.

A lost love

I treated you oh so bad
But you loved me all the same
I thought I loved someone else
But they wouldn't play my game

Now that you have dropped me cold
I am feeling oh so blue
Let me say one thing before I leave
I really loved you true

Tell Her

Tell her that you love her
Tell her that you care
Because if you don't tell her
She just might not be there

Dumped

The next time you say goodbye
Think of how you made me cry
The next time you say hello
Think of how I loved you so

Kidnapped after reading this poem my "friend" thought I was pregnant ??

Roses are red
Violets are blue
You loved me
I thought I loved you
When we did part
It broke your heart
And you did say
That I would pay
But why do that to my boy
Why take away my pride and joy

Goodbye my love

Goodbye my love
my love goodbye
to the heavens above
my love goodbye

I loved you dearly
I mean that really
You made me laugh
You made me cry
So too my love i say goodbye

Angels Above

People would laugh at you where ever you went
But you were the angel that heaven sent
To make me laugh, to make me cry
So why did you have to say goodbye
