It's 5 past 9am. Elana is lying on her tummy watching Bambaloo (have I mentioned I hate bambaloo?) having been awake since 4 freaking AM.

Yes apparently she woke up very upset but I only woke up when I rolled over and there she was sitting between me and Nick - at 4am. She lay/sat/stood between us until 20 past 5am when Nick turned the tv on to see the time and she and Nick got at at 6am. I managed to doze until 7am when I had to get up to give her weetbix and iron nick's clothes -- it was the crappiest ironing ever - I couldn't remember how to do it, then my arms started hurting so basically I did my best but it was still crap.

Since then Elana's read books, unrolled and eaten toilet paper, pulled out every toy in the box, every book off the shelf, she's played with the noisey car thingy and the piano and ran up and down the hallway with the stroller making as much noise as possible and she's WIDE awake - 5 hours later she's still as wide awake as she was at 4am.
GO TO SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I can. I need a shower, a coffee, my bed and pillow and doona.

It's Wednesday - wednesday is my big TV night - Spicks and Specks, We can be Heroes and the GlassHouse I'm so tired I don't think I'll make it to Home & Away.

Last week she didn't have a nap until late in the afternoon and when I put her down for bed she didn't go to sleep - it was Friday, Nick had met the boys at the pub for a birthday/after work drink and he wasn't coming home until after she was in bed.
She went to bed and was still awake when Rin got here at 7:30 - she started screaming out so I got her up and she was still up when Nick got home at 8pm - she talked to him, gave him his cuddles and then happily went off to bed.

Two Fridays previously we were about to start watching the GlassHouse just about to fall asleep when she woke up badly - we tried settling her but she wouldn't have a bar of it - so we got her up she sat and talked to us for an hour and then went back to bed (just before midnight).

And yet with all these late nights and not napping you'd think she'd sleep longer - we thought last Friday because she went to bed around 8:30 instead of 7am she'd wake up around 8am instead of 7am -- she woke up at 6am that Saturday morning.

All this interrupted sleep is killing me - I'm so tired.

**Update - 10:22am -- She's asleep
She woke up 35minutes later. She went to bed at 6:45pm last night and woke up at 9:00pm went back to sleep at 10:30pm woke up briefly around 11pm then slept until 3:45am went back to sleep around 5am and woke up and got up at 6am.

I don't know what happened or why she's not sleeping and waking up because it's not like she's sick, she's not sleeping more during the day, she's very active during the day, she eats well. I don't know why!!! But I'd wish she'd stop. If she does this again tonight/tomorrow I don't know how I'm going to have the energy to take her to Kindermusik.
