So after shopping today Nick and Alex got Fish & Chips while I put the baby to bed. And boy did they choose well.

Crumbed Barramundi (I like crumbed over battered) battered pineapple, calamari and chips SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to explode.

Today we (Elana and I) went shopping with Rin, Jess (L), Sami and the 3 kids. We went to K-Mart where Elana got a pair of big girl shoes with an actual sole and she walks like a pro in them.
Had lunch (Maccas) and I was full to the point of exploding then too - I think my tummy has shrunk.
Then we went to Target where I found a brown belt -- which is what I came for. And I bought two dvds Mona Lisa Smile and Love Actually (I've been looking for Love Actually since before Christmas)
Oh and I got my denim jacket off layby.

Yesterday Nick came home early from work (noon) we met him at Indro and got a kebab (chicken sweet chilli & sour cream) for lunch then came back and watched Ready Steady Cook.

Rin Nick and I are going to see Grease Arena Spectacular next month - our tickets came in the mail on Wednesday it's VERY exciting.

And that's pretty much my whole week in a nutshell I'm going to colapse on the couch and watch Idol.

Dang trina! All that talk of food has my tummy rumbling!

So, for the unedumacated, what is Grease Arena Spectacular? My imagination is going wild. . .

It's Grease the Musical. Starring John Farnham as teen Angel and a bunch of "stars" including some former Australian Idols and soapie actors.

What I don't get is who Roger and Miss Lynch are - I'm thinking its going to be more like the musical than the movie with the songs from the movie but I have no idea. Will still be fun though.

Trina, I hope I don't sound ignorant here, but I didn't know they had Kmarts and Targets down under... I'm sure they would also have Wal Marts, right?...

you're seeing grease!!! that sounds like it would be so good!

in bloom: nope, no walmarts! and kmart and target have the same logos but they're a bit different, and carry different stock. i think target is a bit more upmarket in the states, or maybe their advertising campaigns are just groovier.

Walmart is Big W teegs

like woolworths is safeway

and they carry different stock because we're in a different hemisphere -- it would be pointless carrying US winter stock in summer and vice versa.

And yeah we have everything McDonalds, Starbucks, Ralph Lauren.

We don't have Macys or Bloomingdales or Bergdoffs -- but we do have Myer Grace Brothers and David Jones.

Oh and we don't have Old Navy or The Gap.

i never realised the link between walmart and big w. but the stock isn't just different because of the seasons, there is a different range and it's a completely different style. american magazines' target advertisments show stuff you'd never see in australian target.

i wish we had old navy and the gap! and i wish we had banana republic and express denim!!
