Elana is so independent now.

She walks.
She runs
She yells
She tries to hold conversations - mostly noise and babble but she can say UP (ut) and can can say YUM and she can hum twinkle twinkle little star and incy wincy spider.
She will run to lay down on her couch and wait for her bottle.
She will go down to her bedroom and get her bunny rug and dummy out of the cot
She will bring me her shoes and sit down the floor trying to put them one herself holding her foot in the air with her shoe in her hand.
She waits at the door for Daddy to come home
She plays the piano
She goes to her highchair and says up when she sees that food is being prepared
She asks for cuddles by saying ut and putting her arms around us when she's picked up.
She'll cuddle you if you get down to her level and ask for a cuddle - unless she doesn't want to and then she just walks straight past you giggling.
She's disobedient - she laughs when you try to discipline her
She matches letters and reaches into her box of toys for a block
She knows people - knows Rin and the boys and Sami & Nicola and looks forward to seeing them on Fridays.
She knows what when Gran or Pop comes over usually that means she's going in the car and she'll run to the front door.
She knows that at 7pm she says goodnight to everyone gets a nappy change and gets layed in her cot.
If she's tired before 7pm she'll come to us and sing twinkle twinkle little star and we'll take her to bed.
She's very aware of the things that surround her.
She's 15months

What happened to the little baby that cried when she wanted/need something - that would lay quietly in my arms and drink a bottle (not throw it away and get up and run away)
The little baby who would only sleep on my chest during the day - the one I'd rock to sleep at night in the rocking chair or just in my arms with the baby classical cd playing - who by the third song would be fast asleep.
The little baby in newborn nappies not the toddler size which seem so huge who wore size 000 not the size 1's we've got now.

What happened to the little baby that fit so snug in my arms. This one is 3 times her size.

But this one just came up to me and said UT UT and gave me a big hug before moving on down the hall - and I like her best of all

Thanks xtine. The time seems to have just flown by doesn't it.

I supoose you'd feel the same way looking at your daughter too - though you've got a lot to remember about her.

Peter - well it's gotta be better then laughing at as - looking at us while she does the thing she's not suuposed to be doing (eating the louvers, going past the fridge-touching the oven, touching the x-box-dvd player-fan) there are very few things in the house - there are only 3 big rules - don't eat the louvers, don't go past the fridge and don't touch the electricals
other then that she's got free rein.

We actually had to put her in her cot for a minute on Saturday because removing her from the objects just weren't working. She'd go between the 3 things that were getting her in trouble and laugh stand about 30cm's away from them and look for our reaction.

Dusk - thankyou she is - most of the time - It's really hard to keep a straight face when she's being "naughty"

Dharma quite a big girl I know you do and I know you miss it too

Awesome thread! I know what you mean. Sometimes I playfully bop my little guys on the head saying "where has my little guy gone? Stop growing!". Time flies eh? Peace.

Time certainly does flies when it comes to kids and how quickly they grow.
