Just because I can I decided to tell the whole world that I'm eating lunch today (a rare occurance in itself)
And I'm having a pie - frozen - defrosted in the microwave for 3mins 30 secs - cut the top off mix in tomato sauce put top back on and put more sauce on - in a shape - Four & Twenty made Australia - I had a love heart today.

Meatpies (homebrand) were a main staple of my sister and my after school afternoon tea existence -- my sister would probably have at least one if not two every day. Excluding if we actually had pies for dinner at night.

Since getting married I don't think I've had ANY frozen (especially not Homebrand) pies - Nick's made me homemade pie with chuck steak and red wine and puff pastry -- which is TO DIE FOR.
But in an effort to get me to eat lunch Nick bought a package of frozen pies - not homebrand
What's interesting about homebrand pies is that they have LOTS of the gravy
Four & Twenty have more steak and less liquid

My favourite party pies are the tiny round ones with holes in the top - (savings I think or homebrand maybe) NOT black & Gold!!! - and not the square or oval ones -- the round ones have the perfect amount of meat and liquid and a really yummy pastry

MMMM pies!!!!!!!!!!
**This blog is really in existance because I promised not to post any more quizes - and I did the which sailor scout are you and which full house character are you as well as a few more disney ones.

i read an article on meat pies in the courier mail a couple of years ago that put me off pies for about 8months. i'm well over that now, but i think in the article they said it was a requirement that meat pies contain at least 30% meat -- because meat's the most expensive part that's why the homebrand peeps fill the rest with gravy. four&twenty are the bomb and so are sergeants light and lean. nick's are definitely the winner though!

mm.... i think i'm feeling hungry....
