I'm so proud of Me

It's 1:11pm and I've only just logged onto Joeuser like half an hour ago. This is big news for me. It's Thursday and I can't remember what I did Monday (yes I can it was a public holiday) but I do know that Tuesday and Wednesday I was on JU almost the whole day ----Tuesday was so bad Nick left at 8am and I put Elana back to bed and jumped on JU - in my defence I was heavily following MP's Ryan White, BS's homophobia and PB's Life in the Firing line - which were all long and hotly controversal topics - and I didn't neglect my child -- just all the housework.

Nick came home at 5pm and I hadn't done ANYTHING - not the breakfast dishes

Holy Crap -- its FRIDAY today ---- I just lost a day.... Tuesday I was sick but I did do the washing up and stuff before I got on JU --- which is where I started getting involved with said conversations leading me to wednesday which is when Nick went to work at 8am and I didn't do anything that whole day - I started washing up and making Elana's bottles after Nick got home at 5pm.

Thursday (yesterday) everything seemed to have calmed down a bit, I didn't spend as much time on JU - instead I was trying to find old school friends to invite to my best friend's 21st -- it's very hard to track down people you haven't talked to since you graduated highschool in 2000. I eventually did find Nikki but Josey is in Harvey Bay and Vanessa's fallen off the face of the earth - okay she hasn't but noone knows how to contact her
all this means I didn't do any housework --- but it wasn't because of JU

- I made bottles while on the phone and washed up just before Nick got home at 5pm.

TODAYy is Friday ---- Elana had a bad morning apparently she woke up at 2pm 3pm and 4pm --- Nick woke me at 4pm and asked me to take over - I picked her up - she smelled so I changed her, lay her back in her crib, tucked in her blankets, turned on her fish and went back to bed. I told Nick she smelled and he said he thought that was just a nappy from last night that hadn't been put in the bin yet I said No, Did you try picking her up - you said last night she only had a little burp before she went to sleep - maybe she's gassy and he said No I just patted her back to sleep

ANYWAY we all slept in - Nick was late for work, so Elana went back down at 9am and I fell asleep on the couch until Elana woke me just before 11 - while I was waiting for her bottle to heat up I washed the dishes, after she'd eaten I got her dressed - and myself and we went for a walk to the library to pick up the books that have been waiting for me for 2 weeks and we came back it was just midday - I put her down to play on her mat and checked my email then like I said I checked JU.

I've got all her bottles made, there's no washing up to be done, I'm wearing jeans and a shirt - not PJ's or old trackydacks - I've even had a cup of coffee - which constitutes as breakfast because we ran out of cocoa pops. And now because I'm not involved with any big discussions and because I want to prove to me that I'm not addicted and I can walk away anytime I'm going to go over to the big couch (as opposed to the armchair I'm sitting in with the laptop on the coffee table beside me) and read one of the 7books I got from the library today.

I'm so proud of Me!!!!!!

Good for you! I try to do that...that's one of the reasons I said I was going to take a backseat around here. Yeah, like that happened! Did you get my other email address?
